Frequently Asked Questions
Are you an accredited college?
Eleos Discipleship Program (Eleos) is not a college therefore is unaccredited. Eleos is an extension of our church: LightHouse Discipleship Center. The core of our purpose is to see people discipled in who they are in Christ. Through that discipleship process they we believe they will discover their purpose, whereby we desire to empower them to live their destiny. Many who attend to answer a call from God to prepare themselves for ministry. Others come just to develop their own personal relationship with the Lord. Charis offers the ideal environment for transformation as your mind is renewed by the Word of God. For some, this two-year commitment has restored their lives and their faith. For some, it has been the beginning of a new adventure with God. And for others, it has been the discovery of God’s call on their lives. Although we hope to establish a sound learning environment, we want to encourage people to attend at anytime. We trust the Lord will put on their hearts to partner where they are being fed so others can receive what they have.
What does Eleos Discipleship Program have to offer that other Bible Schools don’t?
We offer a complete study of the Word of God through regular fellowship with like-minded believers. We believe we have some of the best Bible teachers on the planet that will instruct you how to apply the Word to your life and ministry. We offer a safe place where you can get your questions answered by the Word of God, as you develop an intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father instead of practicing mere religion. We are a school where you learn the Truth about the love of God, and how to walk in the freedom of His love with yourself and others.
Since Eleos Discipleship Program is an unaccredited college, what will I receive at the end of my 2nd year?
Upon the successful completion of the second-year Practical Ministry Training and upon meeting the necessary requirements, you will be eligible to receive a Certificate as of Licensed Minister of the gospel. After two additional years in full-time ministry you may become eligible to apply for ordination. Upon meeting our requirements for either certification, our licenses and ordinations will be recognized by all 50 states in our country.
How much does it cost? How much is tuition?
We offer a Tuition-Free opportunity to becoming established, equipped, and empowered in the Gospel of Christ, your purpose, and your destiny. Nonetheless, we trust the Lord will put it on peoples’ hearts to partner with us as they are fed good teaching so that we can continue to bring this discipleship to everyone, everywhere. Freely we have received, freely we give. (Mt. 10:8)
Must I complete all the classes from your 1st Year Program, before I can take classes from your 2nd Year Program?
Yes, you can start any time, but you must complete all classes from our 1st Year Program before you can take classes from our 2nd Year Program (coming soon). We have a few classes that will be given to both 1st and 2nd Year students.
I attended Charis Bible College, will you accept my transfer?
Yes, as long as you can provide evidence that you completed various courses from our 1st Year Program and portions of our 2nd Year Program we will honor those class transfers. We have reconstructed much of the Course List for our 2nd Year Program (coming soon), therefore, there may be several classes for our 2nd Year Program that you have not had anywhere else.
What are your school hours?
Beginning January 10, 2018 we will begin offering classes for the interim on Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6:30pm - 9:00 pm. This schedule is subject to change.
Can I take an individual class?
Absolutely, you can start or stop anytime you wish. You can take classes on a part-time basis, even one day a week. It will take you longer to complete everything but you can take classes at any pace you like. The night classes mirror the day classes for the same day. For example what we do on Monday class we will repeat the same venue that evening, every day of the year. Once a year, we will rotate our Class Schedule so we can accommodate a variety of schedules. Generally we will sequence the class schedule so all the sessions for that class are on the same weekday in consecutive order, so that there are no interruptions until that class is done and so that you can take individual classes one day a week. However, at time when we have guest instructors we may adjust the schedule so that the speaker can teach the class in 2-4 consecutive days within the same week.
Can I transfer classes from Charis Bible College and/or get credit towards Charis Bible College?
We will gladly take transfers from Charis Bible College, where applicable. In some cases, we may ask you to verify these classes taken. (i.e.tests, report card, etc.) The only way you can get credit towards Charis Bible College is pay Charis Bible College $120 per class in the same way you would take their correspondence courses (inquire for details). Otherwise, through our tuition-based program no credit towards Charis Bible College will be granted.
Is there any homework or assignments we need to turn in?

Once your application is accepted, you may start any time. Attendance will be taken each day to monitor your progress until you successfully complete all the required courses.
How soon do you need my application?
When you are ready to sign up, complete the Application Requirements and submit it to our office.
Do I have to be a member of a local church?
We strongly encourage you to be a loyal, local member of a local church, who serves. Our requirements to obtain our Ministerial License include not only completing our Eleos Discipleship Program but to serve faithfully in a local church for at least a year. We firmly believe that in order to be trusted with more you need to be a faithful with little. In order to be a leader you must learn to be a servant of all. (Luke 16:10; Mark 9:35; 10:44)
